Moving into a new place is exciting. But it is the best time for thorough cleaning as the house is still empty. The work includes thorough cleaning, decluttering, and fumigation. If you see signs of pests, even if you don't see them, you should consider it, as fumigating later after moving in is such a hassle.

Various types of cleaning agents and tools are available for cleaning your new space. Though cleaning might not be the most fun thing in the world, using proper cleaning supplies and tools will make the job fast and easy, thus leaving the space clean and spotless. So here is a basic cleaning supplies checklist to guide you to clean the new apartment.

    All Purpose Cleaner

It is a multi-surface cleaner, essentially a general-purpose cleaner. It can clean almost every surface, such as countertops, floors and bathrooms. Being an all-purpose cleaner, it saves the time and money you may need to spend on different products, as one wouldn't have to make multiple purchases of cleaners for different surfaces. Spray the cleaner on the area and let it be for a few minutes. Wipe it with a damp cloth.

    Vacuum Cleaner

A good vacuum cleaner is a must to maintain a dust-free environment, especially if you have pets. It is an effective cleaner of floors and surfaces, so it can also be considered an essential tool that a person will need when cleaning up a new apartment.

    Disinfectant Wipes

Disinfectant wipes are great for just about any hard surface; they are perfect for quickly dusting your desk or other surfaces that are dust-prone.

Microfiber cloths are helpful in making an apartment dirt-free. It picks up dirt and grime and messes well on almost any surface without streaking or residues. As a reusable product, microfiber cloths tend to be far better for the environment than disposable paper towels since they can be used in both ways, dry or wet; just by dampening it in water or a multi-purpose cleaner, you can wipe the surface clean.

    Disinfectant Spray

Another material that should be included in the cleaning kit is a disinfectant spray and disposable wipes. Disposable wipes are advisable since not all articles may be convenient while you have sprayed the disinfectant. For example, some items, such as shoes, require a disinfectant spray.

    Broom and Dustpan

Before using a mop, sweep away any tiny dirt or debris that may be present on your floors. A Broom and dustpan pan is required for removing the dirt and dust.

    Rubber Gloves

Cleaning can be very harsh on your hands as using water and cleaning chemicals for a more extended period can make your skin either dry or allergic, so a pair of rubber gloves could come in handy. Not only will they protect your skin from the sharp chemical pangs, but they also ensure a better grip on wet surfaces.

    Sponges

The sponges perform various work, from washing sinks, baths, showers, and dishes. Nevertheless, a wood sponge should be employed in the bathroom regions and the kitchen for hygiene concerns.

    Glass Cleaner

A quality glass cleaner is essential to maintain clear, shiny mirrors, windows, and other glass surfaces. Choose a cleaner that is streak-free and safe for your surfaces and will not leave anything behind.

    Mop and Bucket

A good grime remover would also freshen up the grout and remove sticky spots, much like a microfiber, sponge, or chamois mop, preferably with a detachable and washable head or pad.

    Wood Cleaner

For wooden furniture, a wood cleaner is inevitable. For the condition of the furniture, one should use products specifically intended for the wood only. Wood cleaners help maintain and enhance the natural beauty of the wood surfaces by removing dust, grime, and oils without affecting the finish. The buildup on the surface that eventually deteriorates with time is avoided by the frequent use of a wood cleaner. They are excellent for furniture, floor care, and cabinetry. In either event, a suitable wood cleaner will serve to lengthen the lifetime of wooden products and will make them look fresh and cared for.
